Mineral Industry Operating Technique Award

Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM)

Description

1. This award is made to a person or team of people responsible for an innovative, cost saving or effective mineral industry operating technique developed in Australasia, in the minerals sector.
2. The operating technique must be proved to be commercially viable, having reference to cost savings, efficiency or effectiveness and project or industry viability. Commercial viability must have been demonstrated conclusively, which means the award may be granted several years after introduction of the technique to provide time for it to have demonstrated its benefits to the industry.
