Description

The Prize named after the outstanding scientist, Academician, Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chairman of the Siberian Branch of this Academy, Foreign Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Valentin A. Koptyug is established on June 25, 1998 in Novosibirsk (Russia) by the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences. The Prize is established with the purpose of encouragement of the researchers of the Republic of Belarus and Russian Federation for achievement of outstanding results with performance of joint scientific research within the framework of the interstate programs, and also for the joint works, scientific discoveries and inventions important for a science and practice. It is awarded for the best joint work, discoveries or invention, and also for a series of joint scientific works on uniform subjects having large scientific or practical importance executed within the framework of priority directions approved by the Agreement on Scientific Cooperation Between NASB and SB RAS.
