Description

The Royal Society Rosalind Franklin Award is made to an individual for an outstanding contribution to any area of natural science, engineering or technology (SET).

The award is funded by the DTI's Office of Science and Technology (as part of its efforts to promote women in SET) and is be made to someone in mid-career, ideally between five and twenty five years after the start of their PhD, and actively involved in scientific research.

Recipients

2004 winner : The recipient of the Award is Professor Carol Robinson, Department of Chemistry, University of Cambridge. Professor Robinson's research has contributed significantly to biological mass spectrometry.
