Description

The Royal Society Mullard Award is made annually by the Council of the Royal Society to an individual who has an outstanding academic record in any area of natural science, engineering or technology and whose work is currently making or has the potential to make a contribution to national prosperity in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The Award is be aimed at younger scientists, engineers and technologists, typically (though not exclusively) in their early to mid 30s.

Recipients

2003 winner : Dr Henning Sirringhaus from Cavendish Laboratory, University of Cambridge, for his work on plastic semi-conductors and his contributions to the national prosperity of the UK through the spin out company Plastic Logic Ltd.
