Agreements have been made with partner organisations in various countries (Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Denmark, Finland, France, Hungary, India, Israel, Japan, Korea, The Netherlands, Poland, South Africa, Spain, Sweden) stating that a roughly equal number of "Humboldt awards based on reciprocity" may be granted each year by these partners and the Humboldt Foundation.
