Description

The Dr Hendrik Muller Prize for Behavioural and Social Sciences is awarded every other year to a researcher who has made a significant or valuable contribution to the behavioural and social sciences.

The prize, EUR 25,000, was established in 1990 and is awarded and funded by the Dr Hendrik Muller's Vaderlandsch Fonds Foundation.

The foundation is named after Hendrik Pieter Nicolaas Muller (1859-1941), a Dutch businessman and diplomat. After a successful business career in Rotterdam, Dr Muller served as a diplomatic representative to Romania (1919-1924) and former Czechoslovakia (1924-1932).
