The Hector and Elizabeth Catling Bursary

Description

The Catling Bursary was established by subscription in 1989 in honour of Hector and Elizabeth Catling on the occasion of Dr Catling's retirement after 18 years as Director of the British School at Athens. The purpose of the Fund is to provide modest financial assistance to members of the School whose current research in Greek lands lies within the following disciplines: anthropology, archaeological science, archaeology, art, ethnography, geography, history, language, literature and religion. The Bursary is not intended for publication costs nor can it be awarded to an excavation or field survey team.
