Description

The awards are made under two categories, viz school children and general public.

The awards are open to school children and individuals, organisations and institutions in both the public and private sector. Those who have made significant contributions in sustainable management of the environment by way of increasing public awareness and capacity building, research and innovations in effective natural resource management, efforts to combat deforestation and protection of endangered species, pollution prevention from commercial scale production, tourism and other development projects, efforts at a built environment through proper architecture and planning, reforms of policies, laws and regulations related to environment, efforts to minimize waste and effective disposal of the same. Any other areas which are relevant to the effective sustainable management of the environment will also be considered.
