Description

The Ivan Slade Prize is awarded biennially to the writer of an essay (published or unpublished) that makes the best critical study of an episode in the history of science focused on conceptual innovation or scientific methodology.

Recipients

2005 winner : Dr Hasok Chang of the Department of Science and Technology Studies at University College, London. Dr Chang's winning essay is entitled "Adventures of a Scientific Potter: The Rise and Fall of the Wedgwood Pyrometer."
