Distinguished Contribution to Economic Advancement - The Weickhardt Medal

Description

The Award shall be made every year to a member of the Institute who, in the opinion of the judging committee (the President, Past President, President-Elect, and most recent awardee) has contributed significantly towards the economic advancement of the Australian economy through work in the chemistry area. This contribution shall be judged on evidence in reports submitted to the adjudicating panel (who may seek referees reports).

The contribution of the member shall be interpreted broadly and may include contributions to policy development, commercial activity and technology transfer. Contribution through the work as part of RACI should be highlighted.

The successful candidate will deliver a lecture at a suitable occasion.

The Award shall consist of a medal, named the Weickhardt medal.
