Department of Archaeology and Anthropology of the Australian National University.
His research interests include archaeology and prehistory of South East Asia and Oceania, agricultural origins and dispersals on a world-wide comparative basis, correlations between the archaeological record and that of the major agriculturalist language families.
His current field research is in the Moluccas, eastern Indonesia.
Secretary and Editor of the Indo-Pacific Prehistory Association.
