Research associate of the Fund for Scientific Research - Flanders ("Onderzoekleider FWO") in the Department of Medicine ;
Head of the Theoretical Neurobiology Laboratory, Born-Bunge Foundation ;
Lecturer in Neural Networks, Department of Math and Computer Science.

Thèmes de recherche

Research focus on the function and operations of the cerebellar cortex.

In the Theoretical Neurobiology unit of the Born-Bunge Foundation, Prof. Erik De Schutter study, with its group, the cerebellar function using realistic models of neurons and neural networks combined with electrophysiological and functional imaging studies in rats. They also develop neural simulation software.
