Radio astronomy in general and VLBI polarization observations of superluminal radio sources and other active galactic nuclei in particular. Past work has focused on cm band observations of AGNs with the aim of delineating and understanding the magnetic fields in these objects, how the fields are generated and the role they play in jet alignment and milliarcsecond source dynamics. BVRI optical monitoring of nearby BL Lac objects and Seyfert galaxies.
