Emeritus professor at the J. Blaustein Institute for Desert Research, Ben-Gourion University of the Negev, Israel.

Research interests

Hydrogeology of Arid & Semi-Arid Regions. Impact of Climate Change on the Hydrological Cycle. Reforestation of Drylands as a Carbon Sink to Mitigate Greenhouse effect.

His work on the water resources of the Middle East includes important contributions to the knowledge of fossil aquifers.

Research Projects: Impact of Climate Change on the Hydrological Cycle and Socio Economic Systems During the Holocene. Hydrology of Forestation in Drylands Aimed to Form a New Carbon Sink to Mitigate Greenhouse Effect.
