Research interests

Pierre Chambon is one of the world’s foremost experts in the field of gene structure and regulation, nuclear signal transduction and deciphering retinoic acid dependent pathways.

Chambon and Ronald M. Evans’ discovery of the nuclear hormone receptor for retinoic acid revolutionized the fields of endocrinology and metabolism and opened the possibility of new drug discovery strategies.
