مواضيع البحث

The research group of Robert Grubbs is involved in the design, synthesis, and mechanistic studies of complexes that catalyze useful organic transformations.

Several years ago his group discovered a new class of olefin metathesis catalysts based on ruthenium alkylidenes that show unprecedented tolerance toward polar functional groups and which opened the way for the synthesis of a wide variety of functionalized polymers.
